ListForge turns the most tedious parts of reselling — identifying products, researching prices, and creating listings — into a streamlined workflow powered by AI. Here's how to get up and running.
Create Your Account
Sign up at app.list-forge.ai with your email or use Google/Apple sign-in. You'll be asked to name your organization — this is your reselling business. All your items, listings, and team members live under this org.
Capture Your First Item
The fastest way to add an item is through the mobile app:
- Open the ListForge mobile app and tap the capture button
- Take 2–4 photos: front, back, any labels or markings, and any flaws
- Optionally add a title hint (e.g., "vintage Canon camera") to help the AI
- Tap Submit
That's it. The AI takes over from here.
If you don't have the mobile app yet, you can also create items manually from the web dashboard by clicking New Item and filling in the details yourself.
Wait for AI Research
Once you submit, ListForge's AI research pipeline kicks in automatically. It runs through four phases:
- Identification — recognizes the product from your photos
- Field Research — gathers marketplace-specific attributes
- Pricing — analyzes comparable sales to determine value
- Listing Generation — creates ready-to-publish listings
This typically takes 2–5 minutes. You'll see the progress on the item's detail page.
Review the Results
When research completes, the item appears in your Review Queue. Here you'll see:
- The AI's identification (product name, brand, model)
- Comparable sales it found (with prices and links)
- A recommended price range across three strategies
- Pre-generated listing titles and descriptions
Review everything. If it looks good, hit Approve. If something's off, you can edit any field before approving, or reject the item to try again with better photos.
Connect a Marketplace
Before you can publish listings, connect at least one marketplace account:
- Go to Settings → Marketplace Integrations
- Choose eBay, Amazon, or Facebook Marketplace
- Follow the OAuth authorization flow
- Grant the requested permissions
This is a one-time setup per marketplace.
Publish Your First Listing
Once an item is approved and a marketplace is connected:
- Open the item from your inventory
- Click Create Listing or navigate to the Listings tab
- Review the pre-filled listing details (title, description, price, category, shipping)
- Adjust anything you want
- Hit Publish
Your item is now live on the marketplace.
What's Next?
- Capture in batches — the real power is processing many items at once
- Use the Lightning Estimator for quick value checks before committing to full research
- Explore the Dashboard to track your pipeline: how many items are in draft, ready, listed, and sold
