Using ListForge from Claude or ChatGPT
You can use ListForge from the AI assistant you already chat with: Claude, ChatGPT, or Claude Code. Ask about your inventory, your listings, your sales, and your buyer messages in plain words, and start research on an item without opening ListForge.
Connect your assistant
Your connector address is shown in ListForge under Settings → Assistants. Copy it from there.
Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector
- Name it ListForge and paste your connector address
- Choose Connect
- Sign in to ListForge if asked, check the workspace, and choose Connect
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins, choose Add, then Add custom MCP server
- Name it ListForge and paste your connector address
- Choose Connect
- Sign in to ListForge if asked, check the workspace, and choose Connect
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code and sign in:

- Look things up. Items, listings, sales, orders, offers, returns, buyer messages, and your marketplace connections. Looking things up is free.
- Research an item. Your assistant can start ListForge research and read the result in the same chat: what the item is, what it sells for, and how sure ListForge is. Research uses your credits, the same as in ListForge, and is charged only when it finishes. See How ListForge credits work.
- Connect a marketplace. If eBay or Poshmark is not connected yet, your assistant gives you a link that opens ListForge to connect it. You sign in to the marketplace in ListForge, never in the chat.
What your assistant cannot do
- It cannot publish, change prices, or end listings yet. That is on the way; until then, do those in ListForge.
- It cannot see your marketplace passwords or payment details.
- It cannot buy credits for you.
Buyer messages are written by buyers, not by you. ListForge marks them as buyer text, so your assistant treats them as something to read, not instructions to follow.
Disconnect
Open Settings → Assistants in ListForge and choose Disconnect next to the assistant. It loses access right away. You can also remove ListForge from your assistant's own connector settings.
Troubleshooting
- "Sign in" keeps coming back: disconnect in Settings → Assistants, then connect again from your assistant.
- Wrong workspace: disconnect, then connect again and pick the right workspace on the ListForge connect page.
- Out of credits: your assistant tells you and links to How ListForge credits work. Lookups keep working.
