Organizing Your Inventory

As your inventory grows, organization becomes critical. ListForge provides folders, tags, and filters to keep items organized and workflows efficient.

Using Folders

Creating Folders

  1. Click Folders in the sidebar
  2. Click New Folder
  3. Name your folder (e.g., “Estate Sale - Oak St”)
  4. Optionally set a color for visual identification

Folder Ideas

  • By source: “Goodwill Finds”, “Estate Sales”, “Liquidation”
  • By status: “Ready to Ship”, “Needs Photos”, “Awaiting Parts”
  • By category: “Electronics”, “Clothing”, “Toys”
  • By location: “Warehouse A”, “Home Office”, “Storage Unit”

Using Tags

Creating Tags

  1. Click any item
  2. Click Add Tag
  3. Type a tag name or select existing
  4. Press Enter to apply

Suggested Tags

  • Priority: “urgent”, “high-value”, “bulk-lot”
  • Condition: “NIB”, “Vintage”, “For Parts”
  • Source: “Thrift”, “Auction”, “Wholesale”
  • Status: “Photographed”, “Listed”, “Repricing”

Smart Filters

Built-in Filters

  • Status: Draft, Ready, Listed, Sold, Archived
  • Marketplace: eBay, Amazon, Facebook
  • Price range: Filter by value
  • Date: Added, modified, sold date ranges
  • Research status: Pending, Complete, Failed

Batch Operations

Bulk Actions Available

  • Move to folder
  • Add/remove tags
  • Change status
  • Adjust pricing
  • Delete items

Well-organized inventory saves time and helps you track performance across your selling operation.
